Sales

  1. Does Switch sell equipment?

Switch sells energy and energy efficiency systems and solutions. In addition to providing quality systems in the United States, we also distribute overseas, with particular emphasis on the Latin American and African markets.
  2. What do you mean by "system?"

Getting on-site energy to a customer usually requires multiple components be assembled into one smoothly-operating system. This is similar to home-building. Most people work with a general contractor so they do not have to deal with multiple contractors and manufacturers to build their home.
  3. How do I get a system designed to my specific site?

We will ask you for information important for getting you the system you need. We also have local resources for obtaining any specific measurements or data we may require to provide for your energy needs.
  4. How do I know what technology is best for me?

The energy professionals at Switch will use information about your needs and location to determine a best-fit solution or solution options. Our technologies page provides an overview of some of the technologies we work with and provides links to educational websites.
  5. How do I get my system?

Switch arranges for delivery of all necessary components to your site. Our installers will then put the system together, test it, and teach you how to use it.
  6. Can I get help with financing?

Yes. Switch has financing packages available and is also willing to work with your preferred lender as required. We also work closely with local, state, and federal governments to ensure you can benefit from any renewable energy incentives available in your area.

Install

  1. Do I have to arrange installation?

No, as a part of your full-service solution, Switch arranges for professional contractors to install your system.
  2. Do you have installers locally?

Switch has relationships with a number of qualified contractors in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States. We most probably have an affiliate close to you.
  3. What happens if the system is installed improperly?

Switch will send another contractor to ensure it is properly installed, at no additional charge to you.
  4. How do I know if my system is installed properly?

Our contractors will run the system through a series of tests to ensure it is running according to specifications. They will review and confirm the results of those tests with you.

Service

  1. How do I maintain my system?

Switch offers long-term service agreements for all of our systems. These cover regular and/or unscheduled maintenance, depending on the contract.
  2. Can I monitor performance of my system?

Yes! Switch offers a complete hardware and software package for monitoring and controlling your system via your Internet browser.
  3. Is it possible my system may need servicing or repair even if it appears to be operating properly?

Yes. Our systems are highly reliable and require little maintenance. However, in some rare cases, components may be failing to perform as expected even though the system appears to be functioning normally. This is why we offer remote monitoring and maintenance packages so that our trained professionals can diagnose and correct any problems before they shut down the system.
  4. Do you provide consulting services such as energy audits or site evaluations?

Yes. Switch can provide these services on a stand alone basis, or as part of a holistic energy solution that includes system installation.
